Two siblings, Shater Abomnger, 10 and Terhide Abomnger, 8, on Saturday, drowned at Lake Nguembi near St. Thomas Catholic Church in #Gboko, #Benue State. .

They allegedly drowned while searching for used plastic containers around the lake. According to an eyewitness, Shater had slipped into the water and Terhide also drowned while lending a helping hand to his brother. .

He said in his 15 years of living in the community, he has witnessed over 30 of such cases.
