There was panic at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja on Friday morning when an Overland plane type burst into flames at its hangar at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT), Lagos airport.

The source of the fire incident which happened at the early hours of this morning is yet to be confirmed.

Yakubu Henrietta, manager, corporate communications, FAAN who confirmed the development said the reason for fire was not yet discovered but that firemen had put the situation under control.

Sources confirmed that Overland plane had no passengers or crew members on board since it was still parked in the hangar.
