The security guard reportedly ran mad briefly after overdosing on Thursday, in the incident which occurred in Lekki area of Lagos State. It was gathered that he started harassing the residents of the area and had to be tied up before being handed over to the police.

Few months ago also, there was a report of an unidentified man who reportedly ran mad after ingesting doses of Tramadol in Lagos. The subject who appeared in his thirties was tied up in order to prevent him from going deep into a state of frenzy associated with the drug in-take.

Water was poured on him and he was fed with garri, as those who tied him up did all they could to bring him back from the “excited state”. According to an online user, the young man was later taken to the general hospital in Lagos where he was treated.
