If you live in Florida, you’re perhaps well-accustomed to seeing gators out and about. But it doesn’t matter how many times you’ve seen them wander onto roads or into backyards — perhaps even your own — they’re still quite frightening to encounter in such an up-close-and-personal way.
After all, these prehistoric creatures can be quite dangerous to both animals and humans alike! With strong jaws, razor-sharp teeth, and lightning reflexes, they are the perfect hunters.
One woman living in the Sunshine State knew she had a ‘neighbor’ gator living in the pond close to her home, but she never thought he would come knocking — literally!
The woman thought she heard a knock on the back door while she was watching TV and walked over to that part of the house to investigate.
There it was: the terrifying gator was staring at her and her cat, staying perfectly still and sitting dangerously close to the sliding door.
The brave cat can be heard meowing and attempting to stare down the gator as if to protect her owner from such a fierce predator.
But the gator didn’t stalk the woman and her cat for long: the shocked homeowner says that he sat in front of her back door for about five minutes before returning to the pond.
