Mornings are hard enough without having to worry about how you’re going to style your hair that day. I’m always running behind — it’s just who I am as a person — and because of that, I need hairstyles that are quick and easy. Sometimes it seems like quick hairstyles seem to compromise on cuteness, but these 16 hairstyles are easy and chic! Whether you like to wear your hair up or down, there are options for both.

Personally, I love to wear my hair down and curly, but I never have time to curl it in the mornings — I can’t wait to try out the five-minute curls tutorial!

Simply twist back a small section of hair and pin it to the middle of your head. Then repeat the same step with the other side of your head, but this time tuck the section of hair behind the first twisted section and then pin it.

5. Give your ponytail an upgrade with a side braid.

Start by French braiding a section of your hair, then gather all of your hair into a ponytail. Wrap a small section of hair around your hair tie to conceal it.

6. This one would be perfect for date night!

7. This is my go-to hairstyle on busy mornings.

Use a hair doughnut to give yourself a perfect bun, and then section the remaining hair into two braids. Wrap the braids around the bun, and then secure them with bobby pins.

8. And voila! A simple and chic hairstyle anyone can do. For a full picture tutorial, click here

9. The twist and pin style is super simple! To add a little flare, place your bobby pins in an X shape — use them as an accessory!

If you have fine hair, try teasing it before pinning to add volume.

10. Give yourself a side swept look that won’t fall out.

Simply sweep your hair to one side, and then gather the section of hair around the nape of your neck and tie it with an elastic. Easy peasy!

11. This tuck and cover style is so pretty.

Simply place a headband on your head, and then take a section of hair from one side of your head and loop it around the headband. Keep looping the hair around until you reach the middle of the headband, and then repeat the same step with the other side of your head.

12. I love this one. This would be perfect for a casual day out!

13. The bow bun is a simple and cute hairstyle you can do in less than two minutes.

Simply pull your hair into a messy bun on the top of your head, leaving a small section of hair loose. Separate the bun into two halves and pull the loose section of hair over, securing it with bobby pins.

14. This hairstyle works if you want to leave some pieces of hair out and keep your hair textured.

15. Get beautiful curls in five minutes with this simple trick!

Gather your hair into a ponytail and use your curling iron to curl small to medium sections of hair. Finish off your curls with some hairspray to make sure they don’t fall out, and then remove the ponytail. Once you shake out your hair, you’ll be left with a full head of lovely curls.

16. Give yourself a voluminous ponytail by using two separate ponytails.

Start by sectioning your hair off into two ponytails. Then tease the top ponytail to create fullness and hide the bottom pony.

17. Give a boring bun an update by placing a hair bow at the base of the bun.

18. Similar to the half tuck, this headband tuck is a super simple updo.

Place an elastic headband over your hair, and then gather your hair into a ponytail without tying it. Tuck the ends of your hair into the back of the headband, and roll your hair until it is tight around the base of your head. Personally, I love to rock this style with an elastic flower crown — it just looks so pretty!

19. If you’re wearing your hair up in a ponytail or a bun, try tying a scarf around your head for some vintage vibes.

20. Even a simple hairband changes the look of a bun!

21. Create the illusion of a side braid with this loopy style.

Gather your hair into a side ponytail, and then make a small opening in the hair above the ponytail, and pull the ponytail through the opening. Gently tighten the ponytail, and then wrap another elastic around your hair, two inches below the loop you just made. Make another hole for your hair to go through, and pull your hair through like you did before. Repeat this process until you run out of hair. For the full picture tutorial, click here

22. Give a side pony some extra oomph with this knotty style.

Use a light styling mousse to give your hair some holding power, and then separate your hair into two sections. Then simply tie your hair into a knot and secure it with an elastic. You can back comb the ponytail for extra volume and texture — just make sure to smooth it out!

23. Get the perfect messy bun with this braided style.

Gather your hair into a ponytail, and then braid your pony. Pull the braid forward and secure the top of the braid to your head, in front of the elastic from your ponytail. Then roll the braid inward and pin it underneath the elastic from your ponytail. Add extra bobby pins around the bun to ensure that it is secure.

24. SHARE if you are definitely going to try out some of these hairstyles!
