Heartland head coach, Ramson Madu has beckoned on heaven to quicken his side return to the top-flight on commencement of life in Nigeria’s second tier league, Nigeria National League (NNL).

The Naze Millionaires are guests of Delta Force FC in Sunday’s NNL matchday 1 clash at Austin Okocha Stadium in Ogwashi Ukwu.

Madu said he personally desires the whole three points at stake at the Asaba outfit in the first NNL stint.

“On this first day of our life in the NNL my passionate prayer to God is to take us back to where we rightly belong, God please help Heartland back to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

“I have not visited Ogwashi Ukwu previously today (Sunday) will be the first time to set my foot at the place and I hope it will be remembered for good.

“My mission there (Ogwashi Ukwu) is to claim the whole three points at stake in the clash against hosts, Delta Force FC.

“I need the points more than any other person, the club and fans, too need the whole three points.

“I do not know the opponents, Delta Force but we are there to play football as such we are ready not only for Delta Force but any other side.

“Heartland are making their debut in the lower division I believe we will be able to cope with the rigour.

“Good enough we have more of newer players than older ones so I believe they will adapt to the type of football in the lower league.

“We are positive that at the end of football hostilities we will come out smiling,” said Madu to supersport.com.

The Owerri-based side next match will be a midweek clash against First Bank at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
